On the body, this lantern has a rich history connected to the railroad industry in the United States. The Cleveland, Cincinnati, Chicago and St. Louis Railway, also known as the Big Four Railroad and commonly abbreviated CCC&StL, was a railroad company in the Midwestern United States. Measures approximately 10" tall (15" tall with handle) x 6 1/2 in diameter total.
This is in great antique estate found condition. Looks great for its nearly 100 years of age. Has original embossed glass globe. There is normal wear/tear and weathering throughout including marks/abrasions and weathering/oxidation, as well as a small hole in the underside (pictured).
